Joy. Such a lovely feeling - for me nowadays it comes from the simple things. Like walking in the countryside, or even my own garden and seeing the small animals and flowers - taking time to slow down and use my senses to hear, see, feel and think about life in general. Looking up at the sky and laughing at the cloud formations. Sitting quietly by a body of water and just contemplating. Joy is in meeting people to communicate with - such as the stranger who I discussed garden plants with at the nursery this morning. Joy is in playing and listening to music - after my poor piano renditions I can still feel joy at the progress I've made. Joy is in meeting with friends and members of my family - and even remembering small events from those no longer with us. Joy can be found in all sorts of different places - and after turbulent times it is even more to be appreciated.
